Le Dîner Paysan

Le Dîner Paysan sets up its long table in the wildest settings : fields, forests, beaches, vineyards, organic and sustainable farms, mountain peaks and other equally incredible sites ; in the very place where the ingredients of the dinner grew.

 

Immersion in this natural setting allows for a multi-sensory experience, from the earth to the plate, an obvious and yet too often trivialized link.

 

But Le Dîner Paysan also has its place in the city, in more unusual and hidden places, which always tell a story of gastronomy and awakening of the senses.

 

Our goal is to enable every foodie who shares the meal to connect with the origins of the food, while praising the people who produce it: chefs, farmers, fishermen, cheesemakers, winemakers, brewers and other artisans who put their art at the service of the table and taste.

 

The Chef plays a key role in this adventure, since he cooks in a "wild" way, before the eyes of the participants, what each of the farmers has just picked or taken for the meal.

 

It is a momentary experience that restores meaning, taste and magic, while joyfully celebrating that most fundamental and universal human conversation: the meal.

Each of the tables set up in the four corners of our countryside tells the story of its land and the people who shape it; each table set up in the middle of the cities tells the story of its terroir and its particularities.

Above all, people are at the heart of this Peasant Dinner.
